Irish-Australian folk singer-songwriter
Enda Kenny is regarded by many as the best folk singer-songwriter in Australia. He showcases his brilliant songs during hugely entertaining live performances.
He was born and raised in Dublin, but moved to Melbourne’s inner north in 1987. He had a full-time job in public housing before leaving two years ago to pursue his musical career.
The latest of his seven albums. “Heart Tattoo” matches wonderful stories of local characters and places with strong melodies. The album has garnered high praise from reviewers, including likening Enda’s lyrical skills to those of Leonard Cohen.
Enda is an outstanding performer, regularly appearing at the Port Fairy, Woodford and National folk festivals. He has twice won the Port Fairy Folk Festival songwriting award.
He will be accompanied by Dave O’Neill on mandolin and fiddle. Dave is a former long-time member of Eric Bogle’s band.
